GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS 2018

This privacy policy explains how Signature Interiors uses any personal information we collect about you when you use our website or contact us by phone, email, blog or other correspondence. This policy outlines what information we collect, how it is stored and what it is used for.  It is our policy not to use any personal information for any purpose other than which it is intended to conduct our business and provide you with information on our products and services.

This policy and the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) are designed to protect individual’s information.  Business contacts and information are considered to be in the public domain and therefore not covered.  The GDPR is in force from 25th May 2018.

How your information is used

1.  We will collect basic identification information such as your name and contact details. This will be used for:

  • To personalise your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs)
  • To improve our website (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)
  • To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)
  • To administer a contest, promotion, surrey or other site feature
  • To send periodic electronic emails, newsletters and any other internally generated information relating to the products and services that we offer. 
  • To administer our accounts and billing systems
  • The supply of any services you request. This may include passing details to third party suppliers with whom we have placed a purchase order on your behalf. That supplier may further share those details with third party couriers etc.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations
  • Website usage information is collected using cookies. 

2.  With the exception of any external organisation(s) listed below we will not sell or share any personally identifiable information collected by us to any third party:

  • HM Revenue & Customes (as required by Law)

3.  We would like to send you information about products and services that may be of interest to you. You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please email us with "Unsubcribe" as the Subject: liz@signature-interiors.co.uk

4.  We will retain all given information on the following basis:

  • All information required to administer our accounts system, including bank details, are stored on Mamut software which is encrypted and backed up to a cloud drive. All paper accounting information is routinely destroyed after seven years.
  • Our mailing data base is stored on the Cloud via Madmimi. You may unsubscribe and/or have your details deleted at any time.
  • All other contact details and information will be retained indefinitely either on a local hard drive or in paper form stored in a locked filing room.
  • We will hold the information detailed above so that we retain archived records of our customers.

5.  As we accept credit/debit card payments using Square, please be aware that all card transactions are subject to Square's Privacy Policy.  Signature Interiors do not hold or retain any credit or debit card details.

Use of cookies
  • Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers' hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the site or service providers systems to recognise your browser and capture and remember certain information.
  • We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits, and keep track of advertisements and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.  We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.
  • If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies via your browser settings. Like most websites, if you turn your cookies off, some of our services may not function properly.

Disclosure of information to outside parties
  • We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we have to abide by the law of the land, if information is legitimately requested by the Government or one of their agencies.  to enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.  However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
  • You may at any time review or update any personally identifiable information we hold. In the first instance please email liz@signature-interiors.co.uk.  We will take any reasonable steps to confirm your identity before any such changes are made.
Third party links
  • At our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. This Privacy Policy only applies to our website.  These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. Signature Interiors therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. When you link to other websites you should read their own privacy policy. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
Childrens' Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) compliance
  • We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA, we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are 13 years or older.
